Every Hillbrook student has a Gmail hosted email account which is used for the majority of internal communication and announcements. It's therefore an important service to setup on your iPad. Even though the email account is Google hosted you log in to it using the same Hillbrook user ID and password as for the WiFi.
Accessing Your Hillbrook email
Collecting your Hillbrook email on your iPad is very important as it will allow you to easily keep in touch with everyone and everything with a need to communicate with you electronically. You will receive notifications from Online@Hillbrook, mail from your Teachers, reminders and general Hillbrook announcements throughout the year.
To setup your Hillbrook Student email account on your iPad open the Settings App.
Next select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" from the left column.
This will begin the process of adding an account unless you already have an account configured, in which case you will need to select "Add Account".
As your Hillbrook email account is a Google hosted account you will need to select "Google" from the list of account types.
Enter your Hillbrook email address (which is your student ID @student.hillbrook.qld.edu.au) and tap "Next".
You'll be redirected to a Hillbrook login page which asks for just your user ID and password again.
After entering these you will get to select the associated services you'd like to enable for this account. We recommend turning them all on so your iPad allows you to manage Contacts, your Personal Calendar, and Notes using Google services if you want.
Click Save and you email account is now setup on your iPad.
Fire up the Mail App and see if you have any mail yet.
